Our Research Interests

Overview fig_edited.jpg

Electrochemical interfaces are ubiquitous in our daily life, they are present in energy conversion, chemical sensing, and energy storage. These interfaces are extremely complicated and dynamic, which increases the difficulties on understanding them. Our goal is to understand these complicated interfacial processes and utilize them to benefit our society by implementing more efficient energy systems, chemical sensors and electrocatalytic processes.

The Ortiz-Ledón lab aims to study the intricacies of electrochemical interfaces by developing  cutting-edge chemical instrumentation to provide unique insights and new methods to study them. We are deeply motivated to provide a fundamental understanding of the behavior of such interfaces.
